Guerrilla Gigs – Live Music is Back in Revelstoke!

Missing the sound of live music in the Grizzly Plaza echoing throughout downtown Revelstoke? This summer the Revelstoke Arts Council will be doing things a little differently. Guerrilla Gigs is a concert series of secret shows held at some of Revelstoke’s most iconic locations every Wednesday in July and August from 7pm – 8pm.

The shows will be announced a week before with a limited number of tickets released on Sunday at noon prior to each show, so make sure to mark your calendar to not miss out! Ticket holders will be informed of the secret location 24 hours before the show (don’t worry – the locations won’t be too far away).

The theme is Canadian folk/alt-country/americana sit-down-on-a-blanket-at-sunset tunes, with bands from Revelstoke and some neighbouring cities. Lawn chairs, picnic blankets, hammocks, and other outdoor comforts are encouraged!

Arts Revelstoke is looking for someone with a passion for performing arts, festivals and culture. If you’re someone who enjoys coordinating events and arts programs, is skilled at cultivating relationships, gets a kick out of working with creative people, and takes pride in being organized and adaptable, then this is the role for you.
Revelstoke, British Columbia CANADA - With so much tumult in our world right now it can be a challenge to look away from the news even for a minute. At the same time we are hearing from our audience that they miss the social events and community gatherings that makes Revelstoke such a special place.
The year 2020 will be remembered for many things. Our goal at Arts Revelstoke is that it is not remembered as a time when the music stopped. As an arts organisation we have tried to take this opportunity to be creative, to think outside the box and, most importantly, to keep the community’s spirits high by continuing to present live performance and bring people together safely.
