We built this program around a single question: what does it mean to belong to a landscape rather than own it? Cris Derksen and Virginia J. Sparvier-Wells, alongside Beethoven's Pastoral, offer three distinct and resonant answers.

Pausing for Poetry showcases the work of local poets and printmakers. Revelstoke residents were invited to submit poems on any theme or topic. Selected poems were then paired with local printmakers, who created original prints inspired by their given poem. These prints range from linocut blocks, woodcut, and screenprinting.

Eagle, Wolf and Sky Woman invite you into our vision of a post-apocalyptic future where humanity survives by remembering the Teachings of their Ancestors. Contemporary dance, storytelling and a hypnotic score bring this vision to life with a potent warning to humanity: today’s actions ripple forward into the future.

Melt Ice is a protest piece about the forceful ICE raids. the installation uses melting ice as a central metaphor. As the ice melts, it releases red liquid suggesting blood, symbolizing harm, loss, and the slow exposure of systems that claim to maintain order while actively creating trauma. This indirect approach allows the work to address a serious subject without graphic imagery, keeping it accessible for younger audiences while still carrying weight.

“The trees have eyes” sheds light on the impact of deforestation over the last 10,000 years and the connection that this has with the Sinixt, Secwepemc, Ktunaxa, Syilx First Nations and animals alike.

East Voices” transforms recorded voices of women from the East into singing light, where sound becomes visible. It is a poetic space of pulsing presence—light woven from women’s stories, inviting the viewer to listen with their eyes.

“Re/Set the Clock” reimagines the Doomsday Clock and asks what it means to borrow the language of urgency and apply it to a different kind of disaster: the slow normalization of fascist, far-right, and oppressive ideologies. The interactive installation asks its audience: Will you help to push it back?
