Arts Revelstoke invites applications for the position of Executive Director (ED). The Executive Director (ED) of Arts Revelstoke is a professional, full-time position at an arts council in Revelstoke, British Columbia. Revelstoke is situated on the Columbia River, nestled between the Monashee and Selkirk mountain ranges, halfway between Vancouver and Calgary on HWY 1. The community has approximately 8,000 permanent residents. Revelstoke as a rich mountain culture and strong support for the arts. Revelstoke enjoys all four seasons with unlimited opportunities for life in the outdoors, as well as a performing and visual arts centers, library, restaurants, hospital, and K-12 schools.

The ED works with significant independence directing the operations of Arts Revelstoke under the guidance and authority of a volunteer governing board. As a professional responsible to the board, the ED provides skilled management, fiscal direction, leadership in artistic innovation, and continuity to succeeding boards. The ED represents the public face of Arts Revelstoke and provides for the day-to-day management of programmes, finances, personnel. The ED is always guided by the Society’s vision to raise Arts Revelstoke’s profile as a professional arts organization through vibrant, diverse and innovative cultural programming and to make Arts Revelstoke a recognized center of artistic excellence.

As an administrator, the ED is responsible for grant writing, financial management, administrative support for the board’s fundraising efforts, and personnel administration. The ED is responsible for ensuring that all of the key programs that Arts Revelstoke is responsible for, are run smoothly and with the highest level of professionalism.

The ED will work closely with contracted arts curators to ensure that our programming embodies our organization’s commitment to EDIA values, and our strategic goals. Please note: applicants with ED experience and artistic direction experience will be considered.

Compensation

Arts Revelstoke offers a package of salary and benefits competitive with arts organizations with an operating budget approaching $500,000. Annual Salary range $60,000-$75,000.
