Arts Revelstoke says farewell to our visionary Artistic and Executive Director, ED position available

It is with mixed emotions and deep gratitude that we announce the resignation of our esteemed Artistic and Executive Director, Daniel Bhattacharya. After dedicated service, Daniel has decided to move on, continuing to pursue his passion for music and cherishing precious moments with his family. As we bid farewell to Daniel, we reflect on the immense impact he has made during his time at Arts Revelstoke.

Daniel’s unwavering dedication and creative vision have been instrumental at Arts Revelstoke this past year. Under his leadership, beloved programs like REVY.Live Outside and LUNA Fest continued to thrive as cherished staples in our community. His innovative approach to program curation transformed our fall and winter performance series at the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre, bringing diverse and captivating performances that enchanted audiences and enriched our cultural landscape.

One of Daniel’s standout achievements was the creation of REVY.Tracks, a groundbreaking initiative in partnership with the iconic Revelstoke Railway Museum. Through this program, Daniel brought professional musical experiences to this historic venue, reimagining it as a world-class music stage. What sets REVY.Tracks apart is its deep-rooted connection to our community. By offering events that resonate with locals, not just tourists, Daniel fostered a sense of belonging and pride among Revelstoke residents. With the help of the museum’s board and director, Jim Cullen, Arts Revelstoke’s partnership with the Railway Museum is a testament to Daniel’s ability to create meaningful cultural experiences for everyone.

Daniel’s success extended beyond innovative programming; his exceptional talent as a musician and his exemplary leadership skills were evident in every endeavour. His ability to build strong community partnerships significantly enhanced our organization, leaving a lasting legacy that will continue to benefit Arts Revelstoke in the years to come.

As we express our deepest gratitude for Daniel’s invaluable contributions, we also celebrate the journey he has had with Arts Revelstoke. His passion, creativity, and dedication have left an indelible mark, inspiring us to continue pushing boundaries and embracing the transformative power of the arts. Daniel will continue to have artistic input as the organization moves forward.
