Our evening event will be an interactive experience, including:

Lobby activities: 

  • Gallery of upcycled art from local artisans

  • DIY climbing rope key chains

  • Climbing rope belts by Out There Gear Repair

  • Necklace making craft with Revelstoke Ideas Factory

Evening: 

-Trashion show: Attendees from Birch and Lace trashion show will break down how they made there outfits

-Wasted: Join the founders of Waste, Taylor Zehren and Thor Retzlaff, to learn how they founded a company dedicated to making toilets better for the environment. Learn more here

-Unbuilding songs: In his journey of deconstruction for “Unbuilders”, Peter Worden discovered a stage and inspiration for a musical in the midst of demolition.

-Home, Grown – a Patagonia film:

The future of building is waste. This film is presented by Patagonia and follows Architect and climber Dylan Johnson, who joins Yvon Chouinard and a hardworking crew to construct two houses using straw bales.

-Backyard Straw Bale Chat: Join locals, including Nancy Giesmar to learn how straw bale houses exist in our very own backyard.

-Construction Waste Panel: This collective panel will include folks who have built stuff from construction refuse, people who pick it up, folks build with it, and people who clean it up.
