The Edge Of The Underworld

The Edge of the Underworld is an experimental dance film blending 3D animation and volumetric film to explore a soul's journey through alcohol-induced chaos.

The Edge of the Underworld is a short experimental dance film that combines volumetric film, 3D animation, and digital cinema. It depicts a soul’s journey through the disorienting effects of alcohol, capturing fragmented memories, unfaithful encounters, and the descent into a dark, subterranean realm. The film explores the emotional and psychological impact of alcohol, using innovative visual techniques to create a hauntingly beautiful experience. Collaborators on this project include Simran Sachar, Nancy Lee, Laine Butler, Alinar Dapilos, and Stefan A. Nazarevich. The dancers featured are Simran Sachar, Sophia Gamboa, and Sevrin Emnacen-Boyd. Special thanks are extended to the Canada Arts Council, BC Arts Council, and Atelier 254 for their generous support.
