ÈBE

ÈBE combines flamenco with five accordion-robots to explore breath and the unknown, offering a contemplative experience through rhythmic movement.

“Èbe” is a performance piece featuring a choir of five accordion-robots and flamenco-inspired choreography, delving into the communicative power of breath. It explores how our breathing unconsciously aligns with the rhythms of the accordions, creating a mesmerizing effect akin to the sea’s influence. Centered around the cyclical nature of tides, “Èbe” draws poetic inspiration from the ebbing tide, symbolizing the revelation of what lies beneath the surface. This work examines what is typically inaudible in accordion and flamenco performances and how these elements connect us across distances. By integrating the cyclical movement of waves and the unfolding of the beach as water recedes, “Èbe” provides a contemplative and sensory experience, highlighting the different rhythms that shape our existence and our shared environment.
