The installation “Nudibranches” are another artistic creation by artist Melanie Lazelle. These inflatable art installations are a collection of sea slugs. These fascinating sea slugs are colourful, curious, and captivating to any who encounter them. They are also masters of disguise and transformation – they change colour based on their prey and environment, their bright colours are warning signs to predators, and they even steal toxins, transforming their own bodies to be toxic to other predators. As well as being incredibly fascinating, eye-catching creatures, their colour and associated changes can be strong indicators of global ocean health.
