Resistance is Fractal

An interactive display showcasing the intricate and ever-changing beauty of fractals.

Fractals in nature (think fern fronds, tree branches, river networks) give rise to beautiful patterns. The simple, repetitive processes that create natural fractals can also be harnessed by computers, which is what I do here, to generate immersive mathematical fractals, which are fascinating to explore and stunning to observe. A mix of science, math, and art, fractals are a never ending source of delight and wonder. Counterbalancing forces give rise to infinite complexity, in which positive, accelerating feedback is resisted by negative, stabilizing feedback, enabling dynamic systems to grow, adapt, and flourish.
