About Gabrielle Cournoyer

Gabbie Cournoyer is a multidisciplinary artist and musician from Sturgeon County, Alberta. She studied at the Yukon School of Visual Arts (SOVA) in 2022, where she explored unconventional materials due to the unique challenges of studying in a remote Northern community. Gabbie’s work is influenced by shapes and patterns found in nature and reflects the various landscapes she has encountered. Her artistic practice is deeply connected to her sense of place, making her work resonate with themes of environment and locality.
