Fractals are infinitely complex, self-similar patterns. They are also beautiful and intriguing. Explore this exciting new realm in an engaging, family-friendly, interdisciplinary presentation, covering the art and science of fractals in nature, seen at scales from the microscopic to the galactic.

About Fractals: the Infinite Beauty of Math and Nature

Jonathan Wolfe, Ph.D., is the Founder and Executive Director of the Fractal Foundation, a New Mexico nonprofit that uses the beauty of fractals to inspire interest in science, math and art. With a scientific background in visual neurophysiology, and an international reputation as the artist behind the Flying Fractals hot air balloons, Dr. Wolfe promotes both the beauty and the intellectual impact of fractals. He has taught over 75,000 children and over 600 teachers about fractals and is the creator of the popular First Friday Fractals show at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, which has been licensed to planetariums all over the world.
