Anthropocene Unseen invites viewers to experience the world through a new perspective. When our anthropocentric gaze is disrupted there is an opportunity to see the world with fresh eyes and an open heart. By decentering our human point of view we can imagine what it might be like to experience the world through the lens of our non-human kin. The colours are a little different, the focus moves in and out, images are broken up into fractals and the details we might normally miss are suddenly our whole world… even for a few fleeting moments. The installation asks us to relinquish anthropocentric certainty and consider a shared, entangled planet — one shaped as much by unseen perspectives as by our own.
