You’re invited into our vision of a post-apocalyptic future where humanity survives by remembering the Teachings of their Ancestors. Set 200 years from today, Eagle, Wolf and Sky Woman remember the days when the world was on fire as technological advancement threatened the very essence of life itself. In our vision, humanity must remember their Original Teachings in order to survive the Great Revival through Water.
An expression of the Anishinaabe Seven Fire Prophecies, as shared by Anishinaabe Elder, Gloria May Eshkibok, and adapted by choreographer Olivia C. Davies, this Contemporary dance duet is set to an original score by composer, Michael Red and was originally co-created with original designs by Anishinaabe artist, Joshua Mangeshig Pawis-Steckley and digital mocap and VR design by technology vAthomas Goldberg.
