Part of our work as we create a better world is to dream, imagine, cherish and make beautiful the possibility of radical social change. It can be hard in these ties to imagine something different – there is so much grief and idiocy that can cloud our hearts and keep us down. We are distraught and distracted in equal measure, and not always seeing what’s possible if we organized ourselves in a different way (y’know, like, without capitalist might-makes-right exploitation of the living world…)
Dream Peddlers is an invitation to celebrate, co-create, and marvel in the stories of revolutionary movements past, present and future, a space for community to plan and dream something different together.
We are using human power, in the simple form of peddling a bicycle, to project visions of another world – images of other ways of being, of communities mobilizing for change, of brave visionaries and moments of transcenedent people power. These are our shared histories of resistance to tyranny, and the legacy of big-hearted human power over those who would destroy this precious world we live in.
Our hope with Dream Peddlers is to inspire our audiences and co-conspirators to imagine and believe that another world is possible, and that we all play a part in its making.
