Cultural Liaison

Lisa has lived in Revelstoke for nearly 30 years, raising a family, working in Indigenous Education in the local school district for 9 years, and connecting strongly with the land around us. As a Métis woman she sees herself where the Métis have always been – a bridge between peoples. Her passion is to educate herself through developing relationships with local First Nations, with Elders and Knowledge Keepers, classes and time on the land.  She hopes to use this education to promote reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
