LUNA Arts is a celebration of curated light, art, performance, and family-friendly fun that will transform the downtown Revelstoke core. The entire town comes out to play as the sun goes down.
This year’s theme is Disguise and Transformation.
Masks have a long and rich history in Indigenous and Western arts and cultures. They create opportunities to play, to scare, to transform, to confuse, and to inhabit alternative identities.
LUNA 2025 proposes the exploration of masks and disguises from multiple angles:
This theme is inspired by the idea of transformation — physically, emotionally, and socially. We invite LUNA artists to explore the layers of self-image, perception, and authenticity as well as the tension between individual identity and collective expectation. Artists could also choose to explore the moment of change, the liminal space between who we were and who we are becoming.
We welcome interactive installations, performances, and workshops that encourage attendees to think about identity in dynamic and creative ways.
Engaging, community-driven art installations and performance art that will entertain and inspire the next generation of Revelstoke artists, spotlight our local talent and put Revelstoke on the map for its vibrant arts scene.
