LUNA Arts is a celebration of curated light, art, performance, and family-friendly fun that will transform the downtown Revelstoke core. The entire town comes out to play as the sun goes down.
This year’s theme is The Art of Resistance.
Artists have been using art as agency for change in society since the beginning of time, bringing important issues to the forefront of society, whether it be through paintings hung in museums or songs played in speakeasy bars. Art always has something to say.
LUNA Fest 2026 invites artists to stand in this tradition of creative resistance and celebrate art, not only as expression but as action, a powerful form of resistance that transforms awareness into movement, and imagination into agency.
From protest to persistence, from ecological balance to emotional resilience, resistance can challenge, shape, and transform. Through light, sound, image, and movement, LUNA 2026 celebrates art that pushes, pulls, and questions — art that reveals how opposition gives rise to beauty, energy, and change. Because without resistance, there is no creative force.
Through image, sound, movement, and performance, we ask: What does it mean to resist now?
In a world facing social division, climate collapse, and political unrest, art can still cut through the noise — revealing truth, inspiring courage, and sparking connection. The Art of Resistance is a celebration of artists who dare to question, expose, and reimagine the world around them.
This is your invitation to turn defiance into beauty, protest into poetry, and imagination into action.
