The Soul Motivators are here to restore your faith in funk. A fresh take on a classic sound, they blend 1970s funk and soul, psychedelic jams and hip-hop breaks. This nine-piece Toronto powerhouse brings explosive energy to the stage, sharing bills with greats like Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa, Lee Fields, Bernie Worrell and The Halluci Nation. They have brought the funk to festivals like Toronto TD Jazz, FEQ, TD Sunfest, TEDx and the 2015 PanAm Games.

Hot on the heels of their 10th anniversary, The Soul Motivators released their third album Do It Together, in 2023 on Do Right! Music, again featuring the high-octane vocal stylings of Shahi Teruko. It’s only up for here – so let yourself be Motivated!
