Slick Nik and the Porch Hounds are a new band inspired by Nik’s experience performing with The Salt Licks in Saskatoon. He has squeezed a few honky tonk songs into various bands before and has been putting together a dedicated band for this project. Expect dancing, laughs, and old folks going “ah yes this is the good stuff”. The setlist draws from standards and deep cuts, including tunes performed by George Jones, Dolly Parton, John Denver, Johnny Paycheck, David Houston, Marty Robins, and more.
Shoestring Necktie will play 2 sets from 3-4:45 pm, followed by Slick Nik and the Porch Hounds from 5-6 pm.
