COVID-19 Protocol

  • Students / parents must maintain physical distancing while waiting for their child to enter and exit the facility.
  • On arrival to the Performing Arts Centre (through the community entrance opposite The Forum), Kenley will record a verbal consent confirming the dancer is asymptomatic through a mandated health check list.
  • Drop off and pick up must be on time. The doors to the school will be locked at all other times. Kenley or an RPAC rep will wait at the door to let the students into the school in order to ensure that only participants come in.
  • Only Kenley, Miriam and Arts Revelstoke designates are allowed to enter the facility. Parents are not allowed inside the facility and the seating area will remain closed.
  • Upon entering the theatre all students must use hand sanitizer and keep social distanced from other class members and teachers.
  • The students are to stay in the area of the theatre without accessing other parts of the school.
  • The washrooms and fountains designated for use will be those on the lower floor adjacent to the stage access hallway.
  • Entry to the theatre will be strictly through the front doors and exit will be through the side entry near the washrooms.
  • Each dancer will be assigned a square to dance in on the stage and a specific space to put their personal belongings. Dancers are to remain in their square at all times unless otherwise directed by their teacher.
  • Dancers and teachers are required to wear a mask at all times unless drinking or eating.
  • Between groups the theatre, stage and all surrounding areas will be disinfected.
  • If we are notified of any student testing positive for Covid-19, all students and teachers that have been in contact will be asked to self-isolate until the required time has passed for them to safely come back to class.
  • No one is to come to dance camp if:
    • They have travelled out of the country in the last two weeks.
    • They have any symptoms of sickness (ie. sore throat/cough/fever etc.).
    • They have been around anyone else who has any symptoms of the illness or tested positive.
    • They have been in contact with someone who has been out of the country.
    • Are unable to follow the safety guidelines as outlined above.
    • No parents or observers are allowed in the RPAC with teachers and students.

  • All choreography and technique taught in class will be safely distanced. Teachers will not be offering hands on corrections.
